¢º Overview

Scorpy is CMOS 8-bit Microcontroller with the smart card interface logic embedded which supports all requirements of the part 3 of ISO/IEC7816 standard and EMV specification.  Scorpy interfaces with the host through the serial bus.  The interface sequence with Smart Card is processed through the interrupt service routine by using the interrupt status so that the software burden is reduced. Scorpy is a powerful microcontroller which provides a high flexibility, an ease of use and low cost solution for the smart card reader application products.

    - Fully compliant to USB specification revision 1.1
    - Compatible with both OpenHCI and Intel UHCI standards
    - Supports full-speed (12Mbps) function
    - On-chip USB transceiver

¡ß ISO 7816-3 Smart Card interface block integrated
    - 1 channels of ISO/IEC 7816-3 Asynchronous Communication Controller
       (ACC)
    - 10 interrupt sources
    - Card insertion detection, auto sequence management for activation and
       deactivation
    - Each channel supports both T=0 & T=1 protocols according to ISO
       7816-3
and the EMV standards
    - Generate and check the parity bit
    - Informs the occurrence of the parity error in receive mode
    - Automatic data retransmission on detecting parity error in transmit mode
    - Supports both direct convention and inverse convention
    - Half duplex communication
